KINGSTON: The St Andrew North Operational Support Team (OST) seized one .38 Smith and Wesson revolver and two .38 rounds and arrested three men in the aftermath of a shooting incident on Brooks Level Road in Stony Hill, St Andrew.
Reports from the Jamaica Constabulary Forces Corporate Communications Unit, police were summoned to the area after explosions were heard. When the lawmen got there, a man was seen with gunshot wounds and a motor vehicle was seen speeding away from the scene.
Lawmen reportedly pursued and intercepted the motor vehicle.
The CCU said a search of the motor vehicle and the three men aboard resulted in the seizure of the firearm and ammunition.
The wounded man was treated at hospital and released, while the three men were taken into custody, however, their identities have not yet been released.
