BERLIN: Germany will pay Airbus $690 million in loans to help finance the European company’s A350 program.
According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, the loans will run until 2031 and up to 1,500 deliveries.
Airbus delivered its first A350 to launch customer Qatar Airways late last year.
Airbus Americas Engineering in Wichita has had as many as 150 people working on the A350 during its design and development.
In addition, Wichita-based Spirit AeroSystems Inc. (NYSE: SPR) builds the composite center fuselage section and front wing spar at its plant in Kinston, N.C.
