LONDON: Dying Light has retained the top position in the all-format gaming chart. Call of Duty: Advance Warfare and Dragon Ball XenoVerse drop two spots each after suffering significant sales dips. They now occupy fourth and fifth place respectively. Zombie Army Trilogy, the only new entry in this week’s top 40, debuts at eight.

Meanwhile, Saints Row 4 Re-Elected/Gat Out of Hell climbs a total of 13 places to return to the top 20 at number 18.

Dying Light is still the best-selling game in the UK, in its second week at retail and over a month since it was first released as a digital download.

According to Chart-Track it’s done better than both PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order: 1886 and multiplayer-only game Evolve, although as ever there’s no actual sales numbers for anything.

There were no new releases of any great note last week, with Zombie Army Trilogy just sneaking into the all formats top 10 at number eight.

Unusually the Xbox One was the best-selling version, with 51 per cent of sales. It came in at number 11 in the individual format charts, with the PlayStation 4 version at number 13.

Xbox One exclusive ScreamRide didn’t make it into either top 40, and this week is likely to be even worse – with no major new retail releases at all except for DmC: Devil May Cry – Definitive Edition.

(Although there are a number of prominent downloadable titles due this week, including Hotline Miami 2, Far Cry 4: Valley Of The Yetis, Ori And The Blind Forest, and Sid Meier’s Starships.)

As a result the only game with any real chance of dethroning Dying Light is Grand Theft Auto V, which has already bubbled up to number to number two in the all formats chart. Although it’s simply seen sales fall less quickly than the other titles.

The launch of online heists tomorrow is likely to give sales a considerable boost though, perhaps even enough to claim another number one.
