LAHORE: Kashma Tariq, former federal minister in Pervez Musharraf’s cabinet, was found defaulter of Rs380,000 property tax.
Source told Customs Today that Kashmala has not yet paid the tax of her property, located at the Lower Mall, even after eight months have passed of the current fiscal year. A notice has also been served to the politician to pay her due amount as soon as possible, otherwise her property will be sealed, he added.
The source said hat the Excise Department has launched a crackdown against the tax defaulters without any discrimination as the department have also sealed a number of buildings, owned by the tax defaulters.
