ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Mufti Ehsanulhaq Fiayyzi Group of Industries Director Hafiz Mukhtar Khan over his alleged involvement in Rs7.5 billion Modarba scandal.
The NAB Rawalpindi has received 33,744 complaints from the victims of Modarba scandal. The bureau is currently investigating 96 cases of multi-billion Modarba scam in which eight cases are at the reference stage, 14 are at the investigation stage, five are at the inquiry stage, two are at the complaint verification stage and 67 are on the complaint stage.
The NAB has recovered Rs1.734 billion in this mega scam and so far arrested 30 accused people, including Ghulam Rasool Ayubi, M Khalid, Hussain Ahmed and others.
