Work in sector G9, 9th Avenue afoot, CDA plans to upgrade, rehabilitate roads, markets

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) would initiate a plan to upgrade and rehabilitate roads, markets and green belts especially the rehabilitation work on Margalla Avenue here.

CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal chaired the meeting. The meeting also decided to plant different varieties of shady and fruit trees at selected sites and flowerbeds are being prepared at slopes and grass would be planted at slopes along the Kashmir highway.

It was apprised that in order to complete the repair and maintenance of affected roads, work on roads of sector G9 is in progress while repair and maintenance work on the 9th Avenue, Nazim-ud-Din road, Luqman Hakim Road and other major roads of Islamabad affected by metro project has also been started. He was also apprised about the development and repair work at I-8 crossing and Faizabad areas on Islamabad Expressway.
