KARACHI: Customs Valuation Director Abdul Rasheed Shaikh has assured the importers and stakeholders that their legal grievances would be redressed promptly and advised the customs authorities to ensure maximum facilitation to importers and trade bodies.
Abdul Rasheed Shaikh said this while chairing a meeting with the importers and stakeholders at his office.
During the meeting, issues related to Customs Valuation were discussed. The importers and stakeholders were of the view that customs authorities concerned mostly do not take them onboard before determining the customs values of different items.
The importers were of the view that imports depended on the customs values determined by the Customs Valuation Department.
