Excise seals 81 properties in Gujranwala Division

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has sealed as many as 81 properties of tax defaulters in the Gujranwala Division.

Official sources said that the department issued several notices to property tax defaulters to pay the liable dues but taxes were not paid despite warnings.

They added that special teams of the Excise and Taxation Department have started a campaign against defaulters in the division’s all the six districts – Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala.

On the other hand, the excised teams also impounded almost 57 token tax defaulter vehicles during an operation.

Officials said that all the tax defaulters will be dealt with according to law and no leniency will be shown towards them.
