Sialkot Collector Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary assures exporters of resolving customs-related issues

SIALKOT: Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Collector Sialkot Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary assured the Sialkot exporters to resolve their customs related issues on priority on Wednesday.

Addressing to exporters at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here, he said that MCC Sialkot was striving to ensure the early clearance of all the pending rebate and refund claims of Sialkot exporters.

He said that the MCC is providing advanced export-related facilities to Sialkot exporters and importers besides ensuring rapid clearance of the export consignments at Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) and Sialkot International Airport here.

He said that exporters have been injecting the fresh blood into the national economy by earning the precious foreign exchange, playing their pivotal role in strengthening the national economy and boosting the national exports.

He said that MCC Sialkot is rapidly becoming a ‘Center of Excellence’ with the active cooperation of the Sialkot based industrialists, exporters and importers.

He pledged to leave no stone unturned for promoting the exports from Sialkot as there was a huge potential of exports from export-oriented Sialkot city.

SCCI President Fazal Jillani said that the exporters of Sialkot were the ‘Roaming Ambassadors of Pakistan,’ who travel all around the world to fetch business and with their personal efforts, the export earnings of Sialkot stand at US $ 1.8 billion annually, which is six percent of the total exports of Pakistan.
