ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has appointed Miftah Ismail as Chairman Board of Investment on an honorary basis. This was issued by the Cabinet Division in a notification.
Miftah Ismail is a Karachi based businessman and belongs to the Candyland Group. He has his PhD in Public Finance and political economy from Wharton School of Business, in University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia. He is a visiting faculty member at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA).

Earlier, Miftah Ismail had served in the Punjab Board of Investment under Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. And, currently he was elected Chairman Sui Southern Gas Company and appointed Director on Board of Directors Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
