25 of 35 plants out of order: CDA asked to fix faulty water filtration machines

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority has been urged to repair faulty water filtration plants in different sectors of the federal capital.

The residents of Islamabad have pointed out 25 faulty water filtration plants and asked the CDA chairman to direct the department concerned for their maintenance.

Out of total 35 plants, over 25 have been out of order for many months, but no action has been taken by the Water Management Directorate of CDA, which is responsible for their repair.

On many complaints, some CDA officials visited the area a month ago but repairing of the plants had not been carried out till date.

Similarly, the residents of G-8, G-9, G-10, and I-8 are also dissatisfied over the maintenance and upkeep of the filtration plants. This correspondent, during visit of different sectors, found the people complaining of unhygienic conditions at the plants.
