PM wants to take all parties together for peace, economic progress: Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif wanted to take all political parties together for wiping out terrorism to achieve peace, progress and prosperity for the people of the country.

Talking to a private news channel on Monday, he said that operation Zarb-e Azb is continuing with success, adding that a huge amount has been spent to flush out the terrorists and repatriation of internally displaced persons.

He said that more than 100 billion rupees would be spent for the completion of operation in North Waziristan Agency and provision of foods, repatriation of IDPs besides infrastructure development of these areas.

Federal Minister said that Karachi operation was also launched to eliminate criminals from the economic hub of the country.

He said that business community and general public had appreciated the efforts of the present government for launching the operation to purge Karachi areas of extortionists, target killers and criminals. He added that Karachi operation was initiated after the consensus with the political parties for restoring peace in the area.

Federal Minister said that law enforcement agencies were taking action to nab criminals, extortionists and target killers.
