The Adjudication-I had rejected the view point of MCC-Multan on which the said Collectorate established tax evasion case against M/s Q-Mobile and its authorised dealers i.e. M/s Digicom and M/s New Allied Electronics.

The MCC-Multan had established a case of massive tax evasion against the M/s Q-Mobile and its authorised dealers, in which it stated that the company imported around 2.4 million smart phones and tried to evade duty/taxes worth Rs 772 million.

The case was in the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication for last seven months and total six hearings were conducted into the case.

Subsequently, Customs Adjudication-I Collector Dr Farid Iqbal Qureshi last week forwarded the case to MCC-Preventive as per its jurisdiction, as the consignments were cleared from Karachi and restrained the MCC-Multan Collectorate to  pursue the case, as the said case was not fall into its jurisdiction.
