KARACHI: Pakistan’s one of the biggest cellular companies Ufone has entered the e-commerce sector by launching its own online shopping portal, UMall.
According to the statement, the portal offers a wide range of products with various payment methods to choose from. This is a major initiative taken by Ufone towards completing the Mobile Ecosystem; following its footfall in the domains of voice, data, financial services and mobile governance, it said.
This initiative has been seen by the industry experts as a major move by a telecom operator, which will have a long-term impact on the positive growth of ecommerce industry in Pakistan. Out of total 95.4 million subscribers in Pakistan, Ufone has 18,577,750 users.
