NEW DELHI: Arrested constable in India, Dharmaraj Kalokhe, has accused that police and customs officers were also involved in the drugs trade.
Kalokhe (52), who was held with 112 kg of mephedrone at his residence earlier this month, was brought to Mumbai on transit remand Tuesday and produced before a magistrate at Esplanade Court Wednesday. The police said that he had been remanded to police custody until April 1.
In an application submitted to the court, Kalokhe said, “The gravity of the offence has enhanced because certain customs officials as well as senior police officers are involved in the facilitation or commission of the crime out of greed for easy money of huge quantum,” the application states.
