Managing director David Lindsay said those offices would be the firm’s first presence in both countries, both of which were important as sea-trading nations.

Lindsay said Jade had achieved record sales in 2014, and was now focusing on building local capacity in Jakarta and Rotterdam to support its expanding network and help drive increased growth in those two markets.

The company’s Master Terminal software has now been licensed to more than 70 ports worldwide, with terminal deals in 2014 across the Americas, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Lindsay said Rotterdam was home to one of the largest concentrations of marine terminals in the world, making it a key growth area for Jade’s mixed cargo terminal operating system.

Indonesia was a new market for Jade, he said, but a local presence would allow the company to take advantage of the region’s development potential.

Indonesia presents exciting future prospects for [Jade software] Master Terminal.

The Indonesian Government is investing heavily in infrastructure and port development … and is committed to expanding sea port capacity across the region,” he said.

The two new offices will mean Jade now has a presence in 7 countries globally.
