Citi Bank arranges $120m from US EXIM Bank, IDB for overhauling of PIA aircraft

ISLAMABAD: The US EXIM Bank and Islamic Development Bank (IDB) have given the Citi Bank $120 million for overhauling the engines of PIA aircraft.

A delegation of Citi Bank, headed by Country Officer Nadeem Lodhi, has told Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar during a meeting. The delegation told the minster that the US EXIM Bank invested in Pakistan after seven years, which showed the growing confidence of international institutions and investors in Pakistan. The amount would be utilised for the overhauling engines of PIA aircraft by the General Electric Company, they added.
