DELHI: Audi German luxury car maker intends to launch five models in the next five months in India.

“We had good response to our products in 2014-15 but due to supply constraints, we could not sell more here in India,” Audi India head Joe King told.

Audi’s models A3 and A6 sedans along with SUV Q3 faced supply issues and some of the orders were moved for April and May deliveries, he added.

He further said: “We had a fantastic first quarter in 2015 as well. We are looking forward to the New Year to maintain our leadership. In the next five months, we will have five new launches.”

The company will launch the new Audi TT model in India this month to kick off its 10 new product introductions planned for this year.

King said the company is yet to finalise on its next round of investments in India to expand business and double sales to 20,000 units by 2018.

In 2014 Audi had sold 10,851 units in 2014 and remained the largest luxury car maker for the second consecutive year.
