LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Adjudication has summoned five unidentified Indian alcohol smugglers on April 15 for their reply and explanation in the case.
The accused persons had failed to smuggle Rs 2, 80,500 various brands of the wine and fled away taking advantage of the darkness as a results of Rangers authorities’ action.
Due to the Rangers’ action the five Indians fled away leaving the wine bottles in Pakistani aside of the boarder which afterward was seized by the Rangers authorities.
A case against the unknown Indian accused persons was registered at Police Station Kanaganpur District Kasur.
According to the Customs Adjudication 128 seized liquor bottles have been taken into custody by Pakistan Rangers Punjab and the accused Indians have been given seven days to file their response.
