A preview video for the DLC is available on the official WWE YouTube channel, and features archival footage of The Ultimate Warrior’s famous entrances spliced with current-gen Gameplay footage. During the three-minute trailer, 2K dev team members state that they decided to create the “Path of the Warrior” DLC because the wrestler was such a huge fan-favourite. They cited The Warrior’s unique look, wrestling style, in-ring persona and vibrant energy as strong draws, stating that their goal was to get fans to relive and experience the athlete’s journey.

The “Path of the Warrior” DLC also includes Warrior’s legendary match against Hulk Hogan, during WrestleMania VI as one of its featured bouts. Hogan lost the match to The Ultimate Warrior in spectacular fashion, making him the first wrestler ever to hold both the WWF Intercontinental Championship belt and the WWF Championship belt simultaneously.

“He was the most intense, energy-driven wrestler I’ve ever been around. His energy encompassed what this business is all about, the sports-entertainment business … I think it was his energy that was the driving force behind him,” said Hogan in reference to his colleague.
