With the construction of corridor, new economic zones would be set up, besides up-gradation of the Karakoram Highway, he added.

He said electricity generation projects, including wind and solar, would be initiated with the cooperation of China.

Ahsan said that all the economic indicators of the country were positive, which had even been acknowledged by international financial organizations.

Replying to a question, he said that the present government was working to stabilize the economy as it was imperative for the country’s development.

He pointed out that no power generation project had been established in the last 15 years, while the present government was launching new projects, besides executing up-gradation of transmission and distribution network. He called upon all the political forces to support the government in bringing stability in the country.
