LONDON: WhatsApp voice calling feature is free for everyone. This new calling feature has been added after a proper and extended beta testing by the company.
This new calling feature is definitely going to help the user call their family and friends even at no balance situation. However, at the same time WhatsApp has joined the online calling race and now competes against some famous calling apps like Skype and Viber.
This new feature was already added last month but was available to few users only. At that time, one was able to avail the feature only through invitation basis. But now the WhatsApp call feature is available for every app user.

You need to get the latest 2.12.5 version of the app in order to use the call feature without any kind of error or interruption.
The WhatsApp home screen now possesses three tabs, one for call, one for chats and the third for Contacts. If you wish to call another person in your contact list, you need to go to the “Calls” tab; there you can see the names of the people whom you can call using this new feature.
