KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Appraisement-West would complete its budget proposals for next fiscal year 2015-16 in current week.
Sources informed Customs Today that the authorities concerned, while following the directives of Collector Muhammad Saleem, are busy in preparing the budget proposals for the FY 2015-16. The proposals will be finalized in the current week, they said.
Sources further informed that the authorities concerned, working on preparing the budget proposals would present the final draft before the Collector Muhammad Saleem in two days and then the final draft would be forwarded to the Appraisement-South Chief Collector Nasir Masroor and subsequently to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Telling about the proposals, the sources further said that the collectorate would suggest amendments in Customs Act, 1969 in connection with HS Code and PCT Headings.
Responding to a query, sources said that the collectorate is going to rationalize the PCT Headings and HS Code of those imported items, fall close with each other.
“The authorities concerned are keeping the plights of the importers and business community in view while preparing the recent budget proposals for the FY2015-16”, sources added.
