ISLAMABAD: LPG Distributors Association Chairman Irfan Khokar on Monday urged the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) to take action against LPG mafia and implement new prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
Irfan Khokar, in a statement, said the LPG marketing companies had refused to cut down the prices. The mafia, he alleged, was earning Rs 1.25 billion per day and was not transferring the benefit to the customers.
He said the government in consultation with LPG producers on Sunday reduced gas prices by Rs 9400 per ton, Rs 115 for domestic cylinder and Rs 460 for commercial cylinder. He, however, added that the OGRA had failed to implement the new prices.
