VIENNA: McLaren P1 has made a surprise appearance on the streets of Austria’s capital Vienna and it managed to attract a lot of curious eyes.
Spotting an exotic, very rare and very expensive ride is quite easy in cities such as Monaco or London but seeing one on the streets of Vienna can turn out to be quite tricky. And when the supercar in question is actually a McLaren P1, which has been produced in just 375 units and all of them have been sold out despite being extremely expensive, this deserves some space of its own. The model in question has a Volcano Orange finish and it can be seen better in the images posted below.
The McLaren P1 is the first hybrid supercar to ever be developed by the British brand. This has been officially introduced as a concept at the 2012 Paris Motor Show and it has been presented in its final production version one year later, at the same automotive event. The model was put together in 375 units and all of them have been sold out by November, 2013. Power is coming from a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, modified to 727 HP and 719 Nm of torque, backed up by an electric motor with 176 HP and 260 Nm. The total output is 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque. The P1 needs 2.8s to reach 100 km/h and it can go up to 350 km/h (217 mph). Its racing version, the P1 GTR, has been shown at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
