LONDON: Many Nexus 5 mobile users have complained on online forums about battery life problems, as well as other glitches, present in the Android 5.1 Lollipop update.

Android’s new update is also available for the Samsung Galaxy and is rumoured to include TouchWiz features for older devices, rumors on Reddit are suggesting.

The update’s release date for the Nexus 6 is well on its way, T-Mobile phone guru Des announced via Twitter.

The new update for the Nexus 6 includes HD Voice call support as well as VoLTE.

The new Android 5.1 Lollipop update will fix several issues related to its previous operating system, including capabilities for using Quick Settings to connect to a Wi-Fi network or Bluetooth device without opening another menu.

The release date version of the Android Lollipop update for the Nexus 5 and Galaxy S5, along with most other compatible mobile devices, will feature a new interface named Material Design.

The new interface makes vivid colours and fluid transitions more visible.

Motorola recently announced that the Android Lollipop software update will arrive to the Moto G in “upcoming weeks.”

Developer rovo89 commented on a XDA Forum that the Xposed Framework for Android Lollipop could be ready “soon” and that it is already “working very well,” Android Authority reports.

There were concerns about the Xposed Framework update accommodating all Lollipop features, but they seem to be addressed by developers.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop release date update is available for Samsung Galaxy S5 users in Australia–the new version features a lock screen concept based on the Note 4.

Although Google was expected to release the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update on Feb. 1, the company was unable to meet its deadline.
