Multan ASO confiscates items worth Rs 16.90 million in March

MULTAN: Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Multan has seized the smuggled goods worth Rs.16.90 million during March of current fiscal year 2014-15 in various operations.

ASO impounded the nine smuggled vehicles worth Rs 14.30 million involving duty/taxes of Rs 12.20 million while conducting anti-smuggling campaign against the smugglers in its jurisdiction.

Anti-Smuggling Organization also seized foreign origin 16117 yards cloth worth Rs 1.04 million during the crackdown, while the liable customs duty on seized cloth was almost Rs 0.5 million.

Anti-Smuggling Organization Multan has confiscated the auto parts and spare parts worth Rs 0.32 million involving customs duty Rs 296975 in March.

ASO Multan also seized smuggled tryes& tubes, cigarettes, electric juicer and irons in various operations by foiling the smuggling bids in March-2015.

Few other miscellaneous smuggled goods were also seized in the operations of Anti-Smuggling Organizations throughout the March. The value of miscellaneous goods was Rs 0.88 million involving customs duty Rs 0.51.
