KARACHI: Despite financial crunch faced by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), the employees have been given salaries and pensions.
This was stated by Karachi Administrator Saqib Ahmed Soomro, while talking to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi Division Vice President Fareed Ansari and United Labour Union President Qamar-uz-Zafar Khan.
The Administrator said that the corporation is facing financial constrains, however, the funds are being released for purchase of petrol, diesel and feed for animals of zoological garden and salaries of the employees. He said that timely payment of employees’ salaries has started after bringing improvement in administrative affairs.
