Customs Preventive to put Collectorates of Adjudication together under one-roof

KARACHI: The authorities concerned of the Model Customs Collectorate-MCC Preventive is planning to shift all offices of the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-II on the 11th Floor of Custom House Building.

The sources informed Customs Today that the authorities concerned of MCC-Preventive have sought details of total number of offices needed by the authorities concerned of the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-II and making arrangements in order to settle the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-II on 11th Floor of Custom House.

The Collector of Customs Adjudication-II Dr Saifuddin Junejo while talking to Customs Today at his office said that the Collector-MCC Preventive Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda has promised the authorities concerned of the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-II regarding shifting the offices of the Collectorate in adequate time frame.

To a query, Saifuddin Junejo said that the process of shifting the offices would take at least three to four months while the continues efforts of the MCC-Preventive would make it possible within the time.

It is pertinent to mention here that the office of the Collector of Customs Adjudication-I is already existed on the 11th floor of Custom House, while the efforts are also been made to shift all other offices of the Deputy and Assistant Collectors at the same floor.

Currently, the offices of the Directorate General of Reforms and Automation are located at the 11th floor and after shifting the offices of Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-II, the 11th floor would be dedicated to the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-I and II while the offices of the Directorate of Reforms and Automation would be shifted at the 9th floor of Custom House, where the offices of PRAL are working right now.
