Micromax sends out invites for press event on April 21, likely to launch new Canvas Spark smartphone

MUMBAI: Micromax will be launching the new Canvas Spark smartphone soon. The company has sent out invites for a press event on April 21, where it will be showcasing the smartphone.

Micromax Canvas Spark is set to be the new key budget smartphone from the company. It will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 2, Moto E(2nd Gen) and Lenovo A6000 smartphones.

Like we had earlier reported, the Canvas Spark is expected to feature a 4.7-inch display, quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, Android 5.0, dual-SIM support and microSD card slot.

Other specifications of the phone are still a mystery, but we won’t have to wait for long for get the official details.

According to a recent TOI Tech report, the phone get a price-tag below INR 6,000 and go on sale in end of April.

Micromax is already revealed that the Canvas Spark will be offered exclusively via Snapdeal.com.
