Chinese President’s visit historic opportunity to deepen ties: Mamnoon

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain Saturday said that the upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping offered historic opportunity for further deepening time-tested and all weather friendship between Pakistan and China.

The President said this while talking to Ambassador of Pakistan to China Masood Khalid who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

He commended the efforts of Masood Khalid in further strengthening strategic cooperation between the two countries.

The President expressed confidence that the Ambassador and his team were making efforts for making the upcoming visit of Chinese President a success.

He expressed hope that the visit would see substantial progress on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project.

He emphasized the significance of enhanced people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, particularly increase in bilateral youth exchanges.

The ongoing celebrations of 2015 Pakistan-China year of friendly exchanges would be instrumental in that regard, the President added.
