Appraisment-East registers FIR against Pak Farming Care for tampering with import documents

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement-East has registered the First Information Report (FIR) against the Owner/Director/Partner of M/s Pak Farming Care bearing (NTN 3392801-7), 760-E, Shah Rukn-e-Alam Colony, Multan City, on 17-04-2015 for tampering the registration certificates of the following GDs;

KAPE-IB-98860 dated 16-02-2015, KAPE-IB-85765 dated 19-01-2015, KAPE-IB-63913 dated 28-08-2014, KAPE-HC-10367 dated 28-07-2014, KAPE-HC-7623 dated 21-07-2014, KAPE-HC-6252 dated 04-12-2014 Book No.85, Serial No. 8460, Registration Number 3667 dated 04-02-2013 having a tampered importer & manufacturer name as M/s Pak Farming Care, M/s Zhejiang Xinnong Chemical Co Ltd, whereas  the actual name of the importer and manufacturer was  M/s Exin Chemicals and M/s, while in KAPE-IB57643 dated21-11-2014 and KAPE-IB 48743 dated 01-11-2014 Book No 93 Serial No 9243 Registration No 4173 date 12-06-2014 and the tampered name of the actual name of the importer and manufacturer was  M/s Pak Farming Care, M/s Zhejiang Xinnong Chemical Co Ltd, whereas  the actual name of the importer and manufacturer was  M/s Exin Chemicals and M/s Jinankesai Agrochem Co Ltd.

The complainant of this case is Jabbar Muhammad, Examining Officer, PICT, Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement (East), Customs House, Karachi.

The declared description and HS Code of goods were (1) Pendimethalin 33 percent EC (Agricultural Herbicide) (PCT 3808.9310) (2) Acetochlor 50 percent EC (Agricultural Pesticide) (PCT 3808.9310), while the actual description was (1) Pendimethalin 33 percent EC (Agricultural Herbicide) (PCT 3808.9310) (2) Acetochlor 50 percent EC (Agricultural Pesticide) (PCT 3808.9310)

The FIR was lodged  for violating  Section 16, 32, 32A &79 of the Customs Act, 1969 and Section 3(1) of the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, 1950 punishable under Clause 9, 14, 14A & 46 of Section 156 (1) of the Customs Act, 1969 and allied laws. However, role of the clearing agent namely M/s Al Rehmat Trading (CHAL 2419) is to be investigated to determine his involvement in submission of forged/tampered documents in connivance of the above importer.
