Sources said that it will be very difficult for the authority to bear salaries of its employees if it were deprived of revenue collection and other revenue earning departments. The source further said that the CDA will have no option but to either send its employees to the metropolitan corporation or resort to downsizing to manage its affairs within the available source of income and budget.

The metropolitan corporation will also oversee the development work, issuance of contracts and other uplift projects.
