LONDON: The mid-sized luxury Lexus sedan benefits from new LED projector headlights highlighted by the brand’s trademark arrow-shaped daytime running lights along with redesigned fog lights, updated tail lamps and a satin chrome grille treatment.
On the inside, a new steering wheel joins a larger, 4.2-inch TFT driver instrument display, revised remote touch infotainment interface, and the option of handcrafted Shimamoku wood trim.
Increases to sound deadening and body rigidity should make for a more pleasant ride, and a new suite of driver aids dubbed “Lexus Safety System +” bundles together pre-collision safety, lane departure warning, automatic high beam and radar cruise control into one package.
The changes are timely, as sales of the model have fallen by more than 20 per cent for the year to date.
