ICAP to launch training programme for CA students

LAHORE: In persuasion of the global trends, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) has decided to launch industrial training programme for its trainee students of Charted Accountant.

The ICAP also organised a session on Industrial Training with CFOs and HR heads of industries at Lahore to update the industry about the introduction of industrial training for CA students.

The option of industrial and commercial training will provide Trainee CA’s an opportunity to explore a formal mechanism to support development of technical and conceptual competencies. This opportunity will give corporate sector the advantage to train individuals with high level of integrity and technical skills, for a prescribed period of time and rotate them in various functions of organization, like finance, HR, marketing, audit, accounts etc.

Speaking on the occasion, ICAP Vice President Muhammad Maqbool has said that this novel option will augment the growth of the industry, accountancy profession and a county as a whole. The ICAP is a professional accountancy body regulating Chartered Accountancy in Pakistan. With significant growth in the profession, ICAP has produced around 7,000 members up till now.
