PARIS: France Elévateur is aiming to substantially expand its exports in the immediate future and has designed new machines for the central European market and beyond.

The manufacturer sells 95% of its vehicle mounted platforms in France but intends to increase the proportion of export sales to 35% of total production. A new shareholding arrangement at the company will help to make that possible.

This was the first time the manufacturer has exhibited at Intermat and its specialist equipment manager Laurent Leclerk told AI the plan was to find international dealers like its new partner in Poland Kobcrane and its German subsidiary France Elévateur Germany which is also focusing on Austria and Switzerland.

The new range of flexible 3.5 tonne van mounts offers with 12 m to 14 m working heights mounted on long or medium wheelbases and a fixed jib. The minimum van length is 5.4 m and the platform is designed to carry one or two people depending on what the customer chooses. “

Van mounts were very expensive in the beginning but there are an increasing number of requests for them so we wanted to provide for those needs; something less expensive,” said Mr Leclerk.

Another new machine on the France Elévateur stand is the new ‘high performance’ concept 284 TBE truck mount with 28 m working height, telescopic Jib and 360 kg basket load capacity, mounted on an 18 tonne truck. It offers 2 x 90° platform rotation in any position and 21.5 m outreach with the maximum 360 kg load in the basket.

Innovations include the four-way H-jacking extension system, with four posons: inside deck, inside mirror, mid-extension and full extension. It has an 18 tonne GVW.
