Sony presents 4G/LTE Xperia E4g Dual Android Smartphone for Rs.13290

TOKYO: Sony unveiled the 4G/LTE enabled Xperia E4g Dual Android Smartphone for Rs.13290. The dual-SIM Android KitKat run Xperia E4g Dual is a successor to Xperia E3 and was first announced at the Mobile World Congress 2015.

Xperia E4g has a 4.7 inch qHD Display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6732 chipset with quad-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. It is powered by 1GB RAM and has a internal storage of 8GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD expansion slot.

For all the creative geniuses out there, Xperia E4g comes with a 5MP rear shooter with LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera which is also capable of recording HD videos. The camera comes with standard features like 4x digital zoom, Auto scene recognition, Image stabiliser and Geotagging.

Sadly when all the smart phones in this category are being launched with Android 5.0 Lollipop, for some odd reason, Sony has powered Xperia E4g with Android 4.4 KitKat. The Smartphone will be powered by a 2300 mAh non-removable battery and also includes dual-SIM connectivity and 4G/LTE networks support besides Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity options. The Xperia E4g will be available in black and white colour options.

Sony has launched this Smartphone in direct competition to the 4G offerings from various manufacturers like Lenovo, Micromax and Xioami but sadly the specs lack the edge to take on these manufacturers. Also at Rs.13290.00, Sony has somehow not got the pricing right for Indian buyers when 2GB smart phones with Quad-core processors and 4G connectivity are available for far less amount.
