NEW DELHI: Owners of the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge can now update their devices to the new Android operating system.

As Samsung is in the midst of launching its flagship Smartphone duo, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, it has also been working with carriers to update some of its smart phones and phablets to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Most major U.S. carriers have released Lollipop updates for popular smart phones like the Galaxy S5, and now, U.S. Cellular has announced that it has released Android 5.0 Lollipop for Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge.

The Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge are Samsung’s flagship phablets that were released last September to generally excellent reviews and feedback from consumers. The Note Edge was Samsung’s limited edition one-sided “tryout” of the curved screen that is now featured on the Galaxy S6 Edge in a dual-sided curved display.

U.S. Cellular has a dedicated page that walks customers through updating to Google’s latest and greatest version of Android. Lollipop brings improvements to battery life and performance, as well as an updated UI that gives Android a more unified look through “Material Design.”

The Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge Android 5.0 Lollipop updates have been made available to owners of the devices on most of the major U.S. carriers, and while some users are happy with the upgrade, many are reporting problems since updating their handsets, complaining battery drain, forced closing of apps and overheating.
