Islamabad Collectorate collects Rs 6,984m revenue, shows 6% growth

ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectore Islamabad-North continues good performance regarding revenue collection in the third quarter of current fiscal year 2014-15 and collected 6 percent more than its actual target and 26 percent more than it was collected in the same period of last fiscal year.

As per details Federal Board of Revenue has allocated Rs 6,565 million target to MCC Islamabad-North and MCC recovered Rs 6984 million in this regard. Overall Islamabad Collectorate has gathered Rs 6,984 million against the target of Rs 2,710 million and shows 17 percent growth in tax collection.

Peshawar Collectorate accumulated Rs 3,906 million against the target of Rs 3,744 million and shows 4 percent growth. Smbriyal (Sialkot) has generated Rs 88 million against the target of Rs 111 million.

Meanwhile Islamabad and Peshawar Collectorates show 2 and 2.5 percent growth in duties collection and collected Rs 1,097 and Rs 1,296 million against the target of Rs 1,094 and Rs 1,258 million respectively, while Smbariyal has collected duties of Rs 75 million against the target of Rs 72 million. However, Gilgit region has not made any recovery.

Sources told that Islamabad Collectorate allocated Rs 2,281 million target for Customs duties and in response it collected Rs 2,242. Chief Collector Azam Khan Hoti ordered all the collectors to fasten the collection process and ask to dispose all the cases as soon as possible.
