Customs Court hears 26 cases,  issued notices in five cases

LAHORE: Special court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling on Saturday heard 26 cases of smuggling and tax evasion here on Saturday.

Nazeer Ahmad Gunjana judge in Special Federal Court of Customs Taxation and Anti-Smuggling heard these cases and issued necessary directions on them. The court also received notices from the Lahore High Court (LHC) in five different cases and issued notices of proclaimed offense. These cases were belonged to Sialkot, Gujranwala, Jhelum and Lahore Customs.

Many cases were scheduled on Saturday for recording of witnesses including seven cases for thr presence of the accused.

In many cases Court heard the arguments of lawyers and suspended the hearing till other dates. Numbers of cases were of smuggling including narcotics as well.
