Appraisement-West: ADC Irfan Wahid vows to resolve issues faced by traders

KARACHI: The Additional Collector-ADC of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Appraisement-West Muhammad Irfan Wahid has said that the Collectorate is ensuring to resolve the issues being faced by the trade community.

Additional Collector Muhammad Irfan Wahid while talking to Customs Today at his office revealed that the authorities concerned of the Collectorate in the recent meeting with the delegation of All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) assured the resolution of the issues faced by them.

He further said that the authorities concerned of the Collectorate have resolved the issues related to deposit the duty/taxes in the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Custom House Branch; examination and laboratory.

Additional Collector Muhammad Irfan Wahid further said that the Collectorate has efficiently reduced the time of examination process and take it to the minimum extent.

“The authorities concerned of the Collectorate are sending the samples twice to the laboratory for examining in a day, so that speedy evaluation could be done at war-footing basis”, he added.

He further said that the samples are also being sent to other laboratories in those cases, where the adequate facilities are not being present at Custom laboratory.

Responding to a query, the additional collector further said that the Collectorate was endeavoring hard to facilitate the trade and giving it maximum facilities while remaining in the ambit of law.
