Lahore: Excise to make new recruitment to overcome shortage of staff

LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation has decided to recruit the clerks and constables to overcome the shortage of man power which is affecting the performance of department.

As per detail, excise was facing the shortage of employees since long and its different sectors including Motor Branch, Property Registration Branch, Professional Tax, etc were not able to meet the set target of the revenue.

Sources said that departments was imposing extra responsibilities over the staff of other sectors of department which was damaging the performance of the department as excise had to get work force from property tax sector to achieve the target of Motor Branch.

Officials have appreciated the announcement of the recruitment of lower staff and urged the government for hiring of the higher staff.
