TOKYO: Namco Bandai has introduced new character set to join the latest entry in its multi-million selling Tekken franchise.

Tekken 7 newcomer Gigas takes on a hulking, Bane-like appearance, and absolutely towers over his opponents. The character will join the beat-’em-up in arcades from tomorrow, so presumably he’ll feature in the console release upon launch.

In total, there’s six all-new characters announced so far, with 24 characters in total. However, Tekken 7’s roster has been trimmed considerably in comparison to Tekken 6, with old timers such as Ganryu, Bruce, Wang, and many others not appearing in the sequel.

Check out Gigas in action below. Tekken 7 is due out on PS4 and Xbox One at some point; though a release date has yet to be announced. Check out the intro cinematic here.
