Rs 64.17m tax evasion: FBR Intelligence prepares seizure reports against Telenor, Pak Telecom

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation-FBR, Regional Office Karachi, has made a couple of seizure reports against some major importers and companies for mis-declaration of PCT, misuse of FTA and mis-declaration of description, quantity and value.

The seizure cases have been made against M/s Telenor Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd and its clearing agent M/s Ahbab Enterprises (CHAL-2034) for mis-declaration of PCT and misuse of FTA.

The evaded amount was reported to be Rs 30.029 million, while the case number is 647- Appg-II/DCI/Telenor/Seiz/2015 dated 10.04.2015.

Another seizure case has been made against M/s Pak Telecom Mobile Ltd and its clearing agent M/s Habib Enterprises (CHAL-1767) for mis-declaration of description, quantity and value.

The evaded amount was reported to be Rs 34.146 million and case number is 648 Appg-II/DCI/Pak Telecom/Seiz/2015 dated 20.04.2015.
