Pakistani driver carrying Gypsum stone to India arrested at Attari

LAHORE: A Pakistani truck driver has been arrested in India late last night as he took a truck loaded with gypsum stone to India, Customs official sources told Customs Today here on Tuesday.

The sources said that during unloading process, an Indian labourer was crushed under the truck and died on the spot resultantly.

The sources informed that Atari Police has arrested the dirve, Muhammad Ali and lodged FIR No 59/2015 against him.

Meanwhile, Atari Labour Union observed strike today and trade remained suspended between the two sides of the border.

Source said that Collector Customs Lahore Preventive Mukarram Jah Ansari has informed Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) about the incident.

The sources informed that the Pakistan High Commission will provide assistance to the driver.
