LCCI, taxpayers brainstorm ST refund claims on Tuesday

LAHORE: The registered taxpayers and exporters will plead for the long-pending sales tax refunds issue with the sales tax refund committee of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) at a meeting scheduled for Tuesday (today) at the chamber.

As per details, the LCCI sales tax refund committee has also invited tax officials to discuss the issue of pending refunds and the committee has received overwhelming response from the industry. Many taxpayers have approached the committee sharing their data and sufferings caused by the accumulation of sales tax refund following anomalies in sales tax rules and non-payment of refund by the tax department. Taking the encouraging response, the LCCI president has called a meeting of the respondents to the committee.
