Multan Customs generates Rs 11.616 billion in Q3, achieves 57pc target

MULTAN: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Multan has generated the Rs 11.616 billion during the third quarter of the fiscal year 2014-15.

The Model Customs Collectorate Multan has collected Customs duty of Rs 1.7 billion against the target of Rs 2.953 billion during the first three months of the third quarter of economic year 2014-15. The MCC Multan has achieved 57 percent of the target of the third quarter of this current fiscal year 2014-15.

Sale tax collected by the MCC Multan in the third quarter of the current fiscal year was Rs 6.385 billion against the target of Rs 5.057 billion during the third quarter of the business year. The MCC Multan has achieved almost 126 percent target in this regard.

The Collectorate Multan has generated income tax of Rs 84.494 million during the third quarter of the economic year 2014-15. The target of the income tax during the third fiscal year was almost Rs 80.6 million. The Customs has attained the target of 104 percent from the set target of MCC Multan.

Federal Excise duty of Rs 28.269 million was collected against the target of Rs 92.930 million. Almost 30 percent of the assigned target has been accomplished during the third quarter of the fiscal year 2014-15.

The MCC Multan has generated Rs 4.847 million from the additional sales tax and petroleum levy of Rs 3410.050 million from the import of petroleum products was also generated during the third quarter of the economic year 2014-15.

The revenue collection of MCC Multan improved at the end of the third quarter of the economic year of 2014-15. The revenue collection of the MCC Multan was reduced due to the decreased in the prices of high speed diesel oil at the international market and the import of petroleum oil clearance was also decreased from Multan Dry Port in the last few months.
