NAB aims to facilitate business community to earn more for country: DG

KARACHI: Director General National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Sindh, Col. (Retd) Siraj Naeem here on Wednesday said that NAB believes that national income is based on individual incomes and we should facilitate the business community to earn more for themselves and the country as well.

In a meeting with Acting President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Abdul Rahim Janoo and other FPCCI officials at the Federation House here, the DG NAB said the business community should not be entangled into the complexity of calculations on account of duties and taxes and time wasting practices.

NAB is ready to help business community and they may visit its office any time, he offered.

He also informed that various steps have been taken to eliminate the corruption from the country and to encourage the people to ‘Say no to Corruption’. Every individual in the NAB is working professionally under certain code of conduct.

He said the present government has adopted business-friendly policies. Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has also been revamped.

He acknowledged the FPCCI role in promoting industrial and trade activities both on national and international level which is a great contribution to the national economy.

Acting President FPCCI, Abdul Rahim Janoo appreciated the role of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in eliminating corruption from the society.

Janoo said NAB’s slogan ‘Say No to Corruption’ is exhibited at FPCCI to demonstrate solidarity with the NAB, which is playing a key role in a war against corruption and the entire business community is appreciating the role of the NAB.

The Acting President of FPCCI A. Rahim Janoo assured full support and cooperation to NAB in eliminating corruption and also creating awareness through various segments among the people.

The meeting was also attended by FPCCI Vice Presidents Ikram Rajput, Waseem Vohra and Shahnawaz Ishtiaq, FPCCI Secretary General, M.A. Lodhi, Rafiq Suleman, Mumtaz Sheikh, Dawood Jakhura, Mariam Chaudhary.
