GEORGIA: Georgia Chamber 100th Anniversary Gala guests were welcomed to the State Capitol by a custom gold carpet donated by Beaulieu of America to celebrate the historic occasion on Saturday evening. Based out of Dalton, Georgia, Beaulieu is a leader in floor covering. The 12’ by 60’ gold carpet leading to the Capitol entrance was branded with the Georgia Chamber’s 100th anniversary logo and the years 1915 and 2015, marking 100 years of Georgia business.
“The Georgia Chamber thanks Carl Bouckaert for his generous donation of the custom made Beaulieu carpet,” said Georgia Chamber president and CEO Chris Clark. “Gala guests were wowed by the grand entrance the carpet created as they arrived at the Capitol.”
More than 700 Georgians attended the 100th Anniversary Gala, including Governor Nathan Deal, Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, Georgia Chamber Chair and Chairman, President and CEO of Georgia Power Paul Bowers, and incoming 2016 Georgia Chamber Chair and Executive Vice President, Distribution Operations for AGL Resources Hank Linginfelter. Grammy award winner Amy Grant headlined the event and critically acclaimed chef Gary Mennie developed the a Georgia-driven reception style dinner menu. The historic State Capitol event celebrated the accomplishments Georgia’s business community over the last 100 years.
