Sony invites 50 Digital Life readers to experience Sony’s upcoming Bravia 4K LCD Android TVs at private event on May 14

TOKYO: Sony invites 50 Digital Life readers to experience the brilliance of Sony’s upcoming Bravia 4K LCD Android TVs at a private event on May 14.

Powered by Google’s latest Android TV operating system, these TV sets make it easy to stream videos and play video games. Consumers can also enjoy services and apps as they would on their Android smartphones and tablets.

These new sets have Google Cast built in, so users can easily cast their favorite content from smartphone, tablet (Android, iOS), laptop and PC (Windows) to the big screen.

Several models will be unveiled at the event, and 50 Digital Life readers will be invited to attend.

Not only will they be among the first to experience the new TV sets, which range in size from 43 to 75 inches, but they will also take part in a lucky draw in which the top prize is a Sony 50-inch Android TV, valued at $1,899.

The second prize is the latest NW-ZX2 High Resolution Audio Walkman ($1,599). The third prize is a Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone valued at $998. The fourth prize is a Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact ($698), and the fifth, a Sony Xperia Smartwatch 3 valued at $298.

Each of the 50 invited readers will also be given a Sony CP-F10L/BC USB charger worth $119.

At the event, guests can experience the picture and audio performance of the TVs, as well as explore key Android functionalities and test out the Android TV operating system.

Demonstrations will also show how Sony Android TVs can work with other Android devices, such as mobile phones, tablets and gaming devices.

The guests can try out the new voice search function, which not only searches for content across different services, but also answers general questions using Google’s sophisticated search engine.

Invitations are not transferable and the winning readers are not permitted to take guests to the event. Details of the 50 winners will be shared with Sony Singapore in preparation for the event.
